The ability to collect continuous glucose, temperature, activity, and optionally blood pressure in large animals is possible through the use of DSI's PhysioTel Digital Telemetry system. A typical glucose system is comprised of 4-16 implants, 2-16 transceivers, 1-4 communication link controllers (CLC), and 1 computer running acquisition and analysis software.
The M series implants function with the PhysioTel Digital® telemetry platform using the following hardware:
M series continuous glucose telemetry implants are currently only supported in Ponemah version 6.41 and higher.
Ponemah v6.x is ideal for PhysioTel, PhysioTel HD, and PhysioTel Digital implantable telemetry studies that do not require compliance with the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
DSI recognizes that many researchers interested in large animal glucose measurements desire or require GLP compliance to FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and we expect to offer such a software solution in the future.
